**In a shocking turn of events, Joshua L. Senseney, a 50-year-old Anderson police officer and School Resource Officer, was arrested today by the Indiana State Police. He faces charges of three counts of Child Solicitation, a Level 5 Felony, and Official Misconduct, a Level 6 Felony.**
The investigation began in June after a concerned parent reported allegations of inappropriate texts sent by Senseney to juveniles while he was serving in his role at an Anderson Community School. The alleged misconduct occurred in May, leading to his immediate placement on administrative leave by the Anderson Police Department.
Following a thorough review of the evidence, a special prosecutor from the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Senseney in Madison County. At around 9:00 a.m. today, Senseney voluntarily turned himself in to law enforcement without any incident. He was subsequently processed at the Madison County Jail, where he later posted bond and was released.
