Two more days, and the 12th edition of the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition is going to start at Ehrbar Hall! We are excited to welcome 47 candidates from all over the world!
Our distinguished jury panel for this year consists of
Sofja Gülbadamova (Russia/Germany), Naomi Ishii (Japan), Carol Morgan (Great Britain/Austria), Stephan Möller (Germany/Austria), Aimo Pagin (France/Austria), Eugenie Russo (USA/Austria), Kurt Seibert (Germany).
1st round: August 12, 10:30-20:00; August 13, 10:30-16:30.
2nd round (Finale): August 14, 9:30-17:00.
Prize winners concert: August 14, 19:00
The entire competition is open to the public, FREE ADMISSION!

Reunion with Sofja Gülbadamova, March 15, 7pm, Gesellschaft für Musiktheater, Vienna, Türkenstraße 19! The exceptional pianist was the Grand Prix winner of the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition, 2nd edition in 2010! In the meantime, she has made a spectacular career and has become director of the Johannes Brahms festival in Mürzzuschlag (Austria)! In her recital on March 15, she will play compositions by Johannes Brahms and Eugen d'Albert! Admission: 25 Euros; free for GfMTh members!

In 2010, Sofja Gülbadamova was the Grand Prix Winner at the 2nd edition of the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition. Since then, her career has spread worldwide! A few years ago, she was appointed artistic director of the renowned Brahmsfest in Mürzzuschlag, Austria, where today she played an exciting program at the closing concert, in an absolutely masterful performance! We congratulate Sofja very cordially to all her success and wish her an ongoing career adequate to her grandious and unique musical and pianistic capacity!

We are very happy to announce that our restart edition of the Rosario Marciano Competition is fully booked! 35 young pianists from all over the world will come to Vienna and perform at Ehrbar Hall! The first round will take place Aug 15, 10am-9pm, the finale Aug 16, 10am-3:30pm, all open to the public! Don't miss our Prize Winners Concert, Aug 16, 6pm!
