As huge fans of her debut album "Natura", we are thrilled to announce that Drum & Lace will join our label family. Her music has been described as being genre-fluid and having a "chameleon-like nature" (A Closer Listen), melding together sampled field recordings, lush layers of synths, chamber instruments and electronic beats. She draws inspiration from film music, music concrete and nature to create textural electronica, often blending unlikely sounds with one another.

2024 will see the release of her magnificent second album, and we can't wait to reveal the first details.

Eventful years for Laikka since the band was founded in 2020. An art pop duo with one foot deeply rooted in the digital art world, Laikka places equal importance on their visual aesthetics and musical productions.

After successful singles that received airplay on numerous European radio stations, Laikka released their album debut, the well-received electronic pop gem "Morning Glow" in 2021, followed by the raw and wonderfully powerful follow-up "Bleach" in June this year. Experimental soundscapes, dreamy vocals and driving electronic beats combine into an exciting mix that is pushing the duo into the international spotlight.

During the last 2.5 years, Laikka have also made a name for themselves as an explosive live act, thrilling audiences at FOCUS Wales, Waves Vienna festival and as top-class support for ÄTNA, among others. With their innovative 360 degree live show in June (a collaboration with livelayers), they also showed once again that they are among the most exciting and innovative new artists of these days.

In a few weeks, Laikka will release their new single, which will already be a harbinger for the third album, announced for spring 2024.

Five years after his acclaimed solo album debut "What If We Don't Exist? (2018), which even earned him a comparison with David Bowie's legendary "Low" album from a US music critic, electronic music producer Peter Zirbs delivers the first single from his second longplayer. He has once again brought the wonderful artist and singer Loretta Who into the studio as a musical guest.
