This past September we launched Reina de Cumbia in Los Angeles, CA - ZZK Culture‘s first IRL event - with over 1500 attendees in 5 days of activities! We kicked off with an opening concert featuring FRENTE CUMBIERO o all the way from Bogota and LA legends very be careful. After we opened the doors to an immersive art exhibit with photos, illustrations, artwork, A/V activations featuring protagonists from CDMX and beyond. A special keynote presentation by Mario Galeano and a workshop by Son Rompe Pera kicked off our opening night. On nights 2 and 3 we presented documentary screenings by Alvaro Parra and Joyce Garcia, a panel discussion with Daniel Hernandez, Mirjam Wirz, Tropicaza, Ima Felini and Pablito Mix and on day 5 we threw an epic closing party - CUMBIATECA - to celebrate music in true fashion, dancing the night away.

We want to give special thanks to all the attendees and to the entire team and participants - over 100 artists, creatives and cultural managers - who brought this exciting, multi-activated art and music project to life!
