This popular quote lies on Audio-Lingual approach when it comes to teach any language, such as English. This approach suggests that a language can be learned through habit-formation drills. The scholars and proponents of this methodology defend that repetitive actions can make all difference to achieve fluency in a laguage. Are you any English teacher? Do you agree with this methodology? Let me remind you that this approach doesn't allow the teachers use students' mother tongue, only the target language is accepted in the class. the use of translation is somehow forbidden.
