We started and ended our trip in São Paulo✨️ while the first time around we didn't stay in the greatest neighbourhood, towards the end of the trip we got to stay in the Pinheiros area for the weekend and loved it!

Our first day was spent exploring the Liberdade area, an area of São Paulo with a large Japanese community and Japanese inspired architecture, restaurants and markets.

Then our last day in Brazil was spent around the Pinheiros area getting brunch, thrift shopping, and visiting Beco do Batman (Batman Alley) which had a funky market happening, and the craziest graffiti everywhere.

It was such a great way to end off our trip before my mom went back to South Africa and I came back to Bonaire 🏝

A cruise day in Paraty ⛵️~

When it was time to leave our little yellow rainforest house, we found a cozy spot super close to Paraty's historical center. It was perfect for everything we wanted to do and see.

I'm a big fan of taking walking tours when I visit a new place for the first time. The guides always come through with fantastic restaurant and attraction suggestions that I pin on my phone to revisit later on.

Exploring Paraty feels like stepping back in time. This historic town has cobblestone streets, colonial architecture and is surrounded by a lush landscape. It's a place that blends history, culture, and natural wonders, leaving you completely in awe at every turn. Part of the old town actually floods due

Over the past two weeks, I traveled to Brazil with my mom, after not having seen each other for a year. The journey involved long flights and bus rides across the country, but it was all worth it when we reached Paraty. We found ourselves in the sweetest house in the heart of the Atlantic Rainforest, overlooking the ocean. We spent our days drinking tea, playing Dominoes in the rain, and admiring all the incredible creatures of the rainforest ~°°°
