Garin Hovannisian and Ophelia Harutyunyan won two of the top awards at the 2023 LA Shorts International Film Festival.

Garin Hovannisian's short film NOWHERE won Best of Fest and Ophelia Harutyunyan's short film IT TAKES A VILLAGE... won Best International.

LA Shorts International Film Festival is an Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying film festival, meaning award winners at the festival are eligible to compete at the Oscars and BAFTAs. In the festival's history, 44 participants have earned Oscar nominations, with 14 filmmakers winning an Oscar.
