I confess - my emotions sometimes get the best of me, but this weakness is what challenged me to turn things upside down. I started leveraging my emotions and using them as an advantage to set my goals and actually achieve them! 😉

When you identify what emotions you want to experience this year, set actions that will make you feel them! This strategy actually results to:

Ever felt that rush of excitement after bringing a new client onboard? 😃

Well, so did I! But it's crucial not to lose sight of our real goal amidst this thrill.

Happened to me when I onboarded a new client a few months ago.

My new client’s VA was eager to roll out content, barely a day into onboarding.

But hold on folks 🛑! We're just getting started. 😅

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here (my thoughts to myself 😄)

I politely told her, "We aren't done yet with our onboarding questionnaire".

I can't stress enough the importance of understanding your target persona, their deepest aspirations, and the challenges they grapple with. This can not be overlooked in our haste to produce content.

Imagine attempting to score a goal blindfolded, seems next to impossible, doesn't it? 🥅 That's what it's like when we don't take the time to understand our audience.

So, here's a gentle, yet necessary reminder for all you diligent business owners navigating the complex waters of the corporate world.

💕Take a moment, step back and breathe.

Get to know who your audience is, delve into their psyche, comprehend what truly motivates them. Only with this knowledge can we meticulously craft content that truly resonates, enhances your credibility, and and nudges that buy button.🛒

What type of content helps your ideal clients decide if you're a good fit for them?

Before that, let's look at the three stages of the buyer's journey.

1️. Awareness: When a potential client or customer becomes aware of the problem.

2️. Consideration: When a potential customer or client considers the various options and approaches they can use to solve their problem.

3. Decision: Potential customers or clients make a decision.

To help a potential client or customer decide whether or not you are a good fit, here are 5 ideas for your next content:

✨ Share a client case study about how you helped a client achieve their goal.

✨ Describe what makes you unique. What makes you different from others? Why should your ideal clients choose you instead of your competitors?

✨ Share your values with others. People want to work with people they can relate to.

✨ Discuss a common objection you hear often or think your ICA might have.

✨ Share a hot take or unpopular opinion. Possibly your ICA shares the same beliefs as them and wants to find someone who understands.

Remember, people might find you at different stages in the buyer's journey. They might find you when they are already aware; or they might find you when they are already considering; or they might find you when they are about to make a decision. So it is important to create content that will meet your buyers where they're at.

How using stories and improving the message of an offer leads to improved conversion rate at 20%.

It's always amazing to see how such small changes can have a huge impact.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a client and help them improve their conversion rate. After just two weeks, we managed to bring their conversion rate up to 20%.

What do you need to see, hear, feel, or experience before hitting that buy button?

In my previous post, I discussed people's different learning styles. And the importance of having a variety of content that will cater to these different learning styles.

Now, we'll talk about the different types of buyers. Ana may have a reason why she signed up with a client, and Suzie may have a different reason too.

Let's take a look at the different buying triggers:

1. Know it all: This buyer wants to know everything before deciding to buy. They want to know the inclusions and every detail of the program before saying "yes" to it.

2. Transformation: This type of buyer wants to paint a picture of what they want to achieve. They want to have a clear picture of the possibilities for them. So a storytelling type of content appeals more to them.

3. Needs validation: These are the types of buyers who check reviews, testimonials, social proof, etc.

4. Education: These are the type of buyers who wants to get something for free first before they buy; it enables them to see what it is like to do your service or how it's like to be inside your program

5. FOMO: People buy out of fear of missing out. It pulls the trigger for them when they see "Few slots left", "last hour", and "doors closing".

We are not one type of buyer. We are a combination of either two, three or four. Or all, depending on the situation.

So why do you need to know this? So, whenever you launch a course or program or want to sell a service, you know you have to create content for these various types of buyers to touch every buying trigger they have.

Do you scare your future clients?

Fear-based marketing is a tactic that has been around since the beginning of time.

And it's not healthy.

When you're trying to get people to buy your product by playing on their fears, instead of helping them solve the problem they have, you're just asking them to be dependent on you.

Many traditional sales tactics are based on fear. They want you to feel like there are only two options: buy from them or go without.

And I see this in some coaches. "Do this or else...", or "join my program or else..." 🤷‍♀️

Though it's good to state the "bad things" or worst-case scenarios that can happen if a problem continues, it would be better to focus on what is waiting for them on the other side - rather than rubbing salt more into the wound.

The best way to sell something is to make your clients feel good about their purchase—not bad about themselves if they don't buy it.

You, as a coach, want to empower them to make inspired decisions and actions that will take them closer to their goals. If they sign up with another coach, that's okay. As long as this person gets the improvement he/she need.

Because at the end of the day, your soul-aligned clients will sign up for you because they believe you have the expertise, the energy, and the space to make for them. And not because they're just scared of something else.

Operating in fear is not healthy. It will not sustain the person and is not a compelling enough reason to change.

As a service provider, I used to do fear-based marketing (unconsciously). But now that I know there is a better way to educate my prospects, my audience - I'm also learning how to avoid instilling fear in my message.

Do you know that your audience has different learning styles?

And it is essential that you create content that works for these different learning styles.

If you want to know what kind of content your audience likes best, it's time to begin testing various sorts of content to see which ones best connect with them (that will convert them into a follower, a fan or a buyer)

👀 A visual learner learns best by seeing things. They like pictures, graphs, and charts. They may feel overwhelmed by too much text.

👂 An auditory learner learns best by listening to speech or music. They do well when people explain things to them verbally or give them verbal directions for projects or activities.

🖐 A kinesthetic learner learns best through touch, movement, and hands-on experience.

⚡ Don't limit yourself to one kind of content. Think about these different ways people learn to test your content and figure out what your audience would like or enjoy. Have fun!

If you're ready, then I'm ready! 😍

When I onboard clients, one of the first things I send them is a questionnaire they need to answer to give me more detailed information about their business.

And the questions I include have something to do with how they want to show up on their social media.

Questions like:
📌 Describing their target audience
📌 Their purpose on social media
📌 How they want to communicate to their audience
📌 The available resources they have for content creation
📌 And a lot more…

The purpose of this is for me to understand more about their business. I take time to learn about them to "represent" the person they are.

So I can talk like them, create content, and engage with their audience even when they're sleeping.

Simply put, I need your CLARITY.

Sometimes, some clients will not answer critical questions. They thought it was unnecessary, so they just took it for granted. 😟

What happens when they do this is that the deliverables they expected of me are not met. This results in my client's frustration and me needing to deliver better. 😳

So you see, you must be clear about what you really want in your business. If not yet, you're willing to take time to dig deep into your customer avatar, your biz goals, your biz values, etc. (which I can help you with that as well)

That way, when we work together, I'll give you the experience and results you want because there was clarity in the first place.

When there's clarity, content creation, engagement, and messaging will be easy to attract your ideal clients.

What do authority and visibility really mean?⁣👇

It means nailing your message - making your content speaks directly to your market's pains, pleasures, and aspirations.⁣

It's making your content work for you and not releasing daily content that doesn't speak to them. (you know, posting it just for the sake of posting)⁣ 😫

It means having a strategy that will either convert them into followers and/or paying clients.⁣

It means creating an engaged community that uplifts, empowers, and encourages them to live their lives better, either through your free content or your services.⁣

Messaging should be built on content pillars we create based on the goals we want to achieve and not just focused on how many posts are made in a week.⁣
