The best leaders know they can’t do it all themselves.

When you hire the right person, you need to ensure that your team is inspired and truly meaning well.

Great leaders make their teams feel good about their own roles, but also about their contributions to the whole. Remember that as your company grows, so does the strength of your people. This can be achieved by fostering relationships with employees and creating a culture that allows for success.

Hire awesome people, give them the freedom to do their best work, and your company will succeed. https://bit.ly/3Qs4yge

We live in a world that is getting crazier every day. We need leaders and organizations that can rise above existing norms and help us navigate this complicated world. Good leaders are important because they teach us how to think bigger, take risks and make life easier.

To be a good leader, you need to be a good listener. That's why in this episode I'm joined by Warsha Joshi, who is also a mastermind facilitator and a serial entrepreneur. She has built many successful businesses and has been featured on the likes of entrepreneur.com.

Despite being an expert in the field and having a solid grasp of the industry, Warsha has also sought the help of a business coach herself and believes that learning should be a continuous process. Warsha talks about the entrepreneurial mindset, the top 3 golden rules in growing and scaling a business, the qualities of being a great leader, some book recommendations and a lot of great advice on how to cope with the current pandemic.

This episode is meant to inspire entrepreneurs, and help people change their mindset to become more successful in their chosen business fields, especially in these trying times.

This is from our archives and one of our best episodes on this topic which is why we are bringing it back!

Being confident does NOT mean you’re arrogant and neither should you be LOUD to become confident!

According to Coach Aliya Rajah, our featured guest in this week’s episode, there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance but they are not the same.

Arrogance is about thinking you’re above others and that it’s your way or no way.
Confidence comes with humility.

The truth is: self-confidence isn't about what other people might think of you or how much money or power or prestige you have.

It's about believing in yourself—about believing in who you are on your own terms and accepting who you are without judgment from others.

Are you a confident entrepreneur? Put your hands up in the comments and let’s celebrate the confident YOU!

Being confident in yourself doesn't just mean having high self-esteem and thinking positively about yourself...

It means believing in what you can do and having faith in yourself to do it.

It means believing that you deserve success and happiness because of who you are, not what other people think of you or how much money you make, or how much fame or power comes with being someone with an impressive resume.

You can be confident about yourself as a person and confident about what you want from life.

Tag a fellow entrepreneur who needs to hear this! Then tune in to this week's episode : https://bit.ly/3cW0M0e as I sit down with Aliya Rajah for more self-confidence tips for entrepreneurs!

How would you like to be able to change someone’s mind even after disagreeing with you?

Here’s a simple tip for you: Make them feel understood. And then help them understand your point of view. When you want something done, telling people to do as you say won’t work. They don’t do things they don’t understand. As humans, we tend to voluntarily do the things that we understand, are fully aware of, and are convinced of.

That’s why negotiation is not only applied in business but in our everyday lives, generally. In this week’s episode on the Elevated Entrepreneur Podcast, I share 5 powerful tips to be a master of NEGOTIATION.

Rejection is just a redirection.

I've often found that the best way to cope with rejection is to look for the opportunity in it.

Jennifer Blandos has been rejected so many times in her life. But that didn't stop her from going after what she wanted in her career, business, and life.

In this episode, you'll find out why rejection isn't the end of the world—it's just another learning opportunity. Learn how changing your approach to rejection can actually help you move forward with greater purpose.

Do you have a tendency to say yes to people every time?

I get it, we all want to be helpful. It's in our nature, and it's what we were made for.
But at the same time, we also need to have boundaries—especially when it comes to helping others.

I think it's really important for people to have a balance between being helpful and being self-serving. Even though we may not be able to help everyone, we can always help ourselves by taking care of our own needs first before we worry about others. That way, when the time comes when someone does need us, we will be able to give them what they need without any regrets!

I hope this gives you permission to say no sometimes. It's not always selfish or rude to say it!

How do you write your to-do lists?

Do you list your tasks randomly throughout the day?
Do you list them by priority or of first importance?
Is it categorized or listed in any particular order, such as from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed?

This simple methodology by consultant David Nuor called the SUG might help. He states to ask yourself the following questions before composing your list:

👉 Seriousness: How important is this task or issue?
👉 Urgency: How long will it take to complete?
👉 Growth: Will this issue get worse if I wait to tackle it?

Once you answer these questions, it becomes easier to determine which tasks should be ON or OFF the list! Hope this helped!

Do you sometimes doubt your progress? Do you wonder what’s taking so long to see results when you’ve already put an insane amount of work and effort into something?

Or do you sometimes get frustrated when you expect a certain outcome but it doesn’t turn out the way you wanted it to?

It can be stressful indeed. But as Satya Nani said, “A little progress every day adds up to big results.” Oftentimes, we just need the courage to look at the big picture.

Ask yourself these questions:

Are we doing it the right way? Where is this leading me into?
Why am I even doing this? Who am I doing this for?

By looking at the big picture, you create a shift in perspective, you adjust your judgment, and you eventually change your focus and activities.

Viewing things from a bigger lens can remind us of what’s important and redirect our attention to focus on our actual priorities.

So the next time you feel like things are taking too slow, take a deep breath, take a step back and remind yourself of your real goals.

You’ll get there, no doubt about it!

Can you live without a to-do list?

Psychologist and author Dr David Cohen certainly thought he could not!

Admit it, you may feel the same. Having a to-do list makes you feel organized and up to speed, but…

How often do you get every single to-do item crossed off? Are you even happy with what you write on it?

Or are you just setting high expectations for yourself and expecting to accomplish everything on it in just one day?

Let’s face it… sometimes the to-do list we create is just impossible to complete.

And when we force ourselves to actually fulfil everything on it, we end up feeling stressed out and overwhelmed.

But what if there was a way to get rid of all that stress and overwhelm caused by bad to-do lists and instead build habits that will actually get things done?

Would you want to be productive and see evident results? Tune in to this week’s episode on The Elevated Entrepreneur Podcast by clicking the link here: https://bit.ly/3xxUQ46

Have you ever said to yourself, "Today is my favourite day"?

If not, maybe you should start.

There are so many things that we let get in the way of living in the moment and enjoying every single day of our lives. But if you can start thinking that way, everything will change for the better—you'll be happier, more positive, and more productive.

So instead of letting life happen to you and wishing it were different, make it different!

Tell me: What are some things you can do today to make sure that today is your favourite day? https://bit.ly/3lcTx4O

Do you know what I love? Getting perspective.

I mean, perspective can make all the difference in the world.

How many times have you been in a situation where you're like "Ugh, this is so hard!" or "This sucks!" or "Why are things like this?" and then somebody comes along and says something like "Well, you know…?" and then they give you a little space to see things from their perspective and it changes everything?

I think it's really important to have a little space for somebody else's worldview—to be able to step outside of yourself and see things from someone else's point of view. It makes it easier to understand why people do what they do, and it makes it easier for us to forgive them when we realize that what might seem wrong to us might actually be right for them.

So next time you feel yourself getting caught up in your own life, take a second and think about how other people might see things differently than you do.

How has perspective made a difference in your life? Share your thoughts with me in the comments! https://bit.ly/3NiVYyG

The biggest thing that I've learned in my time as an entrepreneur...

Is that you have to be able to create balance, or else you'll burn out and lose sight of your goals.

Sometimes we get so caught up in our work that we forget there are things like family and friends, there are relationships with people who don't have anything to do with your business.

Life is too short to spend it all at work.

Take breaks, get outside, and do the kinds of things that make you human, like music, art. books, or exercise.

There are days when you just feel like a bear with a sore head, and that's okay. We get it.

As entrepreneurs, we know that sometimes the road to success can be lonely and difficult. But there are always people who have been there before us, and they have left us some wisdom to help us along the way.

That's why we've compiled 20 quotes from Winnie the Pooh. My guests, Warsha Joshi and Evan LeClus and I have added our own spin to each one of them so that they apply to today's entrepreneurs and their challenges.

So whether you're feeling like Piglet or Tigger right now, we hope these mantras will inspire you—and maybe even help you get through your next tough day!

🔑 Questions are the key to learning 🔑

Let's say you're struggling with a problem. You have an answer in mind, but it doesn't feel right. You can't quite put your finger on why it doesn't feel right, but you know it's not quite right.

So what do you do?

You ask questions about the problem.

These aren't just any old questions—they're the types of questions that will scratch the surface and go much deeper into the problem: "Why did that happen?" "What might be causing this?" "What other factors could be at play here?"

Once you learn how to question effectively, only then will you be able to describe the solution well enough so that others can understand how to solve their own problems using what they learned from your solution.

What are your favourite questions to ask during a discovery process with a customer or client? Share them with me in the comments! 💬 https://bit.ly/38eAqnZ

12/05/2022

When we look back on our careers and the times when we've been most successful, it's always when we were able to provide value for our customers—and when we were able to provide value for ourselves as well.

When you're in sales, it's easy to get caught up in the back-and-forth of trying to close a deal and make money.

But really, that's not why you're there.

You're there to lead—to show your clients a roadmap of potential solutions they can use whether they choose to do business with you or not.

I love this approach because it shows that even if they don't end up working with you—which is totally fine—you've still provided value by offering them a solution that could help them out.

I'd love to know your thoughts! Hands up in the comment section if you agree with this quote ✋ https://bit.ly/38eAqnZ
