Children are meant to spent their formative years learning, playing and developing in different areas within a safe environment with their caretakers.
For the first time in 20 years, child labour is on the rise with 160 million children working worldwide. More than 80 million children are currently working in hazardous conditions, often separated from their families and exploited due to a multitude of reasons from poverty to unemployment to natural disasters and conflict.
The World Day against Child Labour has taken the theme of ‘Social Justice for All’ this year. If are interested in supporting this cause, check the link-in-bio to learn more about the issue and explore ways to support.
