Asian Persuasion, our very own Asian American Hollywood film, directed and produced by Grammy and Tony Award winner Jhett Tolentino! The screening celebrated the film’s milestone, with Tolentino's creative vision shining on the big screen in this vibrant region. I will watch it again with my Tribu Ilonggo! A must-watch at VOX Cinemas this October 17th. Congratulations, Jhete and Team! Proud of you! The movie was amazing!

The Proud Pinoy TikTokers is a community-based initiative formed on July 21, 2024, and is geared towards the Filipino community on the TikTok social media platform.

The first event was produced and organized by a total of 19 individuals (listed below):

- **Registration:** Simplegirl, Mystery, Chua, Rhen, Shan, and Thresdan
- **Masters of Ceremony:** Kuya Hummer, Dimple, Waray, and Jill
- **All-around:** Ryan, Tito Oddie, Bhing Cartel, Moonred, Gerald, and Lesboi
- **Guest Relations:** Mitz, Dache, and Bolang

This event, titled "Stronger Together," was held on October 12, 2024, at the Regent Palace Hotel. A total of 219 attendees participated, with the majority being Filipino household workers.

We took two months to prepare for the event, which ran from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM (excluding preparation time, etc.). We invited several companies to support the cause and advocacy. Most of the supporters were Filipino businesses or staff, as we wanted to convey the message of helping one another and having each other's backs while being away from home.

This event was created for three main purposes:

1. **Provide an avenue for household workers to unwind and connect with fellow Filipinos.** Many attendees seldom leave their workplaces, and this event was designed to offer a quality experience. Being away from our home country can be difficult and lonely, so a support system is valuable for alleviating attendees' loneliness.

2. **Advocate for camaraderie and a support system.** It is important to communicate the message that "no man is an island" and that "we are not alone." A community that helps one another progresses together.

3. **Offer an opportunity for interested Filipinos on TikTok to meet fellow users in person.** This will foster a sense of community and aims to establish a support system.

The event was a success, and we are planning another event in the coming months.
