Here's How Social Media Platforms Influence Consumers During

People across the world spend more than 10 billion hours per day on social media platforms, with more than 56.8% of them —equivalent to 4.8 billion people — currently having accounts on these platforms.

YouTube is the most popular social media network in the Gulf region with 31.4 million users in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2021, according to Global Media Insights, followed by Instagram with 26.8 million users, and Facebook with 25.92 million users.

Likewise, in the UAE, YouTube topped usage preferences, according to Statista, with 8.69 million users, followed by Facebook with 7.85 million users, and Instagram with 6.67 million users. The UAE will extend zero duty access to 90 per cent of goods exported from India from the first day of implementation of the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), possibly in April or May this year, widening market opportunities for a large number of labour-intensive sectors including garments & textiles, gems & jewellery, engineering items, plastic products and pharmaceuticals. Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Ince, recently organised a workshop at the Chamber’s premises highlighting recent changes made to laws governing bounced cheques in the UAE.

Effective June 2023, UAE Will Mandate Corporate Tax On Business Profits

The UAE has declared the introduction of a federal corporate tax on business profits, effective June 1, 2023, making it the fifth GCC country to join the regime.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the statutory tax rate will stand at 9pc. However, small businesses and startups will benefit from a 0pc tax rate on taxable profits up to nearly $102,100 (AED 375,000), promising a corporate tax regime that is one of the most competitive in the world.

Businesses will be imposed to the new federal law from the start of their first financial year beginning on or after June 1, 2023.

A new beginning!

Most of the Governments globally have reported picking of economic activities, businesses have expressed confidence moving into 2022 and likewise stock market indices ended the year with largely moving northwards.

On social side, although ‘New Normal’ was among the most trending phrases, but it seems 2021 has ‘Retuned' human race to be ‘Human’ again and making them ’Normal’ rather than labeling the change as ’New Normal'.

With changing working patterns, ‘work from home’ made family members come closer as people were compulsorily locked in homes - gave more time for families to interact. However unprecedented deployment of digital tools (remote working) confined working family members to their chairs and locked isolated in their rooms. Again it starting hurting the togetherness element - this gave birth to ‘Hybrid Working’ allowing balance between on/ off site work!

With lessons learnt, 2022 will definitely see better humans at work and home!!!
