When in Bali, ride a 110cc scooter!

It's quite refreshing to ride a scooter without gears and clutch for a change 🤣 and I want to thank the ladies who were with me who trusted me with their lives

If you've been to Bali before, you know that the traffic is crazy and riding a bike could be very very dangerous especially during peak time.

Well, we all live to tell the story when I had to go onto the pedestrian walkway with the bike just to avoid the traffic and survived that crazy mayhem.

Summer is officially here, and I don't think many of us are riding here in the UAE. We couldn't 'not' ride that long...so we decided to wake up at 4am and go! Best choice ever...the weather was actually pleasant to our surprise. Saw a few other bikers on the road..made us happy that we were not the only mad people riding in the 50c° summer heat 🤣

Check out the rock formation in the background. So beautiful 😍 if you've never been to Jabel Jais, go check it out at least once. The mountains are beautiful but on the bike it's 10x more beautiful so, if you don't have a bike - GET A BIKE!

Happy Anniversary, my love 🧡
I remember our first bike ride as though it was yesterday - Qudra; using the long route just to have longer chat time.

I'll tell you a secret...I actually was so nervous that it felt that my deodorant was not working!! I had to sit really far away so that you wouldn't smell me 🤣🤣🤣

But I guess, after knowing you...I was safe because your nose is a little wonky and you can't smell much 🤭 so maybe it's all just in my head 😉

Time really flies when you're having fun and it's only been Up! Up! Up! with you. Thank you for being my riding partner, my life partner...my everything!

To many many more years of adventure and bike riding around the world!

730km to Taif. Good roads, beautiful landscapes but once again tons of morons on the road...I think its a norm here but the unimaginable thing happened when we were on the road yesterday - a car didn't want us to over take him when he was slow...everytime we went ahead, he would overtake us again to get ahead of us and slow down.

At one point, it was getting dangerously slow and close until he pulled out a GUN out of his window to show us that he could hurt us. It's either he didn't like that we had a Dubai number plate or he just wasn't happy that a girl was overtaking him. Only God knows, but that was a close call. Something I will never forget...scary moment but the important thing is that we are safe.

Another 700km to cover today. May God be with us and keep us safe on the road! Amen

Day 3: 350km to Jizan. Best roads, best landscapes, and best experience on the wheels so far. It was a beautiful ride - the weather was pleasant; it rained for a bit but overall, super good but not the best quality roads throughout the villages and overall, we went over nearly 100 speed humps throughout the whole journey (most of it unmarked and it was difficult to see)

One thing for sure - don't ride in the dark here. Most roads have no street lights, and it's overall just very dangerous riding at night.

Day 2: 929KM. I think mother nature heard me say that it was a boring ride yesterday and she gave us everything on day 2. Sand storm, heavy rain...low visibility, wind so strong that we were nearly blown off the road. It was a crazy ride and not only the weather was bad...the maniacs on the road here are bloody bonkers..we had people coming so close behind us pushing us off the road...they come in high speed...flashing and honking and they will just cut into your lane. If you're planning to ride here, just beware of those crazy people!!

But other than that, beautiful landscapes...it feels like you're on Mars at certain parts of the ride...so cool.

Alright, it's a shorter ride to our next destination today...close to 400km.

EID Saudi road trip DAY 1: 976KM done. Dubai to Riyadh. The border crossing was easy, and the officers were super friendly and professional even though we were warned that it was going to be a hassle to cross with the bikes. Interestingly, they have never met a Malaysian who would cross the border crossing on a bike!

The road stretch was very boring with nothing much to see. The entertainment was avoiding portholes and roadworks. Some parts of the landscape were mesmerising - untouched desert sand... the sand was golden!

Oh, by the way...we bought new Shoei helmets and its good! Very silent and comfortable modular helmets 😍

Off to our next destination...another 900km to cover today. Hopefully, it's more interesting compared to yesterday's ride.

We're back! It's been a crazy few months with personal commitments, and we have not been riding. Thanks to all who called and messaged just to check up on us - yes, we're fine; just been super duper busy.

Dreams do come true - if you work hard on making it a reality.

I sold both my bikes to get my ultimate dream bike, and it's finally here! I'm super happy with it 😊 *happy dance*

Someone told me - "I can never imagine you without a bike!" Me too, I replied. Bikeless for a few months, but it's all worth it at the end...and sorry to those who thought I would get a Harley 😅 this ain't a Harley...its a...(guess the bike)

To a new beginning 🥂 let the adventures begin!

We want to take this opportunity to reflect back on the past 365 days around the sun; 2023 - was a great great year for the both of us, and we are forever grateful for the memories, friendship, valuable lessons and adventure it has brought us. Special thanks goes out to those who chased the sun together with us throughout the year 🏍 May we all be blessed with good health and new bikes in the year to come. Amen 🙏

"It was love at first throttle."

For those who know our story would know that our first date was on our bikes - he rocked up on his loud Harley, and I was outside my apartment waiting with my silent Kawasaki.

The first 5 minutes was us trying to connect our Cardo communication system before our ride, and I guess the rest is history - we never disconnected that link.

Today, we have ridden in 9 different countries together with that same Cardo connection; still enjoying each other's conversations in our helmets, and sometimes he has to listen to my out of tune singing 🤣
